Accreditations

Rosenstock Lieberman’s Center is not only fully accredited by the Costa Rican Ministry of Health but also by the AMERICAN ASSOCIATION FOR ACCREDITATION OF AMBULATORY SURGERY FACILITIES INTERNATIONAL ( AAAASFI). The AAAASFI is the largest not-for-profit accrediting organization in the United States and was established in 1980 to develop a standardized accreditation program to improve the quality of medical and surgical care at ambulatory facilities.  AAAASF's goal is to promise high standards for patient care and safety in accredited facilities. The program inspects and accredits surgery and dental clinics who exceed superior standards.  In 1996, California became the first state to mandate accreditation for all outpatient facilities that administer sedation or general anesthesia. AAAASF was instrumental in the development of the California legislation (AB 595) as well as subsequent laws and regulations in Florida, Georgia, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Texas and many other states. AAAASF accreditation has been approved by some State Departments of Health in lieu of State Licensure.

In order to be certified our clinic had to pass inspection standards in General environment and safety, Operating room environment, Policies and procedures, Recovery room environment ,blood and medications, Medical records, Quality assessments, Personnel and staff and Anesthesia. With this accreditation Rosenstock Lieberman Center assures the highest standards not only in Plastic surgery centers in Costa Rica but also the same quality as Clinics all over the United States that permits us to comply and exceed our patient’s expectations.

Privacy, low cost makes Costa Rica a hot destination for tummy tucks

“I needed a tummy tuck,” said Burns, 55, who began contacting plastic surgeons in the Atlanta area where she lives. On a Budget, she wanted a breakdown of the costs (surgery, anesthesia, hospital stay, etc.) and a total, but doctors would only give estimates. When one estimate hit $18,000, Burns took her research to the internet, and soon surfed her way to an obesity surgery site group on Yahoo
( httpgroups.yahoo.comgroupossgplasticsurgery ). “And that,” she said, is where I heard about Costa Rica.”
